Ingredients

For the Blondies
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk) your choice
  • 1 cup pretzel pieces broken into small chunks

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Whisk until everything is well-combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the creamy peanut butter, chocolate chips, and pretzel pieces until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and smooth it out evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  2. Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  3. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and do not overmix the batter. Feel free to add your favorite nuts or candies.
