Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another large bowl, mix the peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes if it seems too soft. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze them for up to three months.
