Ingredients

For the Base
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
For the Topping
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream optional for a smoother texture

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until combined.
  3. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 8x8 inch baking dish, creating an even layer.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the creamy peanut butter until smooth. Spread the peanut butter evenly over the graham cracker crust, ensuring full coverage.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until completely melted and smooth.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer, making sure to spread it evenly.
  7. Refrigerate the bars for at least 2 hours, or until set. Once firm, cut them into squares and enjoy!

Notes

These bars taste amazing when chilled. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for up to three months.
