Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
Optional Toppings
  • to taste sliced bananas
  • to taste fresh berries
  • to taste nuts
  • to taste yogurt

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl or jar, mix together the rolled oats, almond milk, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir well until everything is fully combined.
  2. Make sure there are no dry spots of cocoa powder, and the mixture looks evenly blended. Feel free to adjust sweetness to your liking at this point!
  3. Cover the bowl or seal the jar with a lid, then place it in the refrigerator. Let it sit overnight (or at least for 4 hours) to allow the oats to soften and absorb the flavors.
Serving
  1. In the morning, remove the oats from the fridge and give them a good stir. Add your favorite toppings like sliced bananas, berries, nuts, or a dollop of yogurt. Enjoy every creamy bite!

Notes

Chocolate Overnight Oats can stay fresh in the fridge for up to 5 days when kept in an airtight container. For the best texture, avoid freezing.
