  • 1 cup hazelnut flour
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour You may use almond flour for gluten-free option.
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened You can replace with coconut oil for dairy-free.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the hazelnut flour, all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until thoroughly blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract into the butter mixture, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoons to portion the dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and centers are still soft.
  3. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, avoid overmixing. You can also add sea salt or a drizzle of melted dark chocolate as toppings.
