Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add the melted butter to the bananas and mix well.
- Stir in the sugar, followed by the beaten egg and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the baking soda, salt, flour, cocoa powder, and brewed espresso. Mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper, then pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Baking
- Place your loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 55-60 minutes.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- Slice into generous portions and enjoy!
Notes
Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil for storage. Can be refrigerated for up to a week or frozen for up to three months. To reheat, microwave for 10-15 seconds or toast lightly in the oven.
