Preparation

Mixing Ingredients

- In another bowl, beat the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Incorporate this mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Carefully stir in the boiling water until smooth.
Baking
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cooling and Frosting
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, frost with your favorite chocolate frosting or dust with powdered sugar if you prefer a lighter option.
Notes
Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.
