Method
Preparation
- Rinse the strawberries gently under cold water and pat them dry using a clean towel. Ensure they are completely dry to help the chocolate adhere properly.
Melting Chocolate
- In a microwave-safe bowl, break the chocolate into small pieces. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate!
Dipping Strawberries
- Hold each strawberry by the stem, dip it into the melted chocolate, and swirl gently to ensure it’s fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
Adding Toppings
- If you’re using toppings, sprinkle them over the chocolate-covered strawberries while the chocolate is still warm so that they stick.
Setting
- Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Let them cool at room temperature until the chocolate hardens—around 15-30 minutes.
Serving or Storing
- Enjoy your Chocolate Covered Strawberries immediately or transfer them to the fridge for later.
Notes
These strawberries are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Avoid freezing to maintain texture. Serve at room temperature for the best flavor.
