Preparation
- Prepare Your Workspace: Start by laying out a parchment-lined baking sheet to place your chocolate-covered pretzels once they’re dipped.
- Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat!
- Dip the Pretzels: Take a pretzel and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. You can use a fork or your fingers for this part—whichever you prefer!
- Let the Excess Drip: Lift the pretzel out and gently shake it to let any excess chocolate drip off. This makes for a cleaner finish!
- Add Toppings: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle your choice of toppings over the pretzel for that festive flair.
- Set to Cool: Place the coated pretzel on the prepared baking sheet and continue the process until all pretzels are coated. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes or until chocolate is set.
- Serve and Enjoy: Once set, your chocolate-covered pretzels are ready to be served! Enjoy them during your Easter festivities or store them for later.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about two weeks. Refrigerating may change texture.
