  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures that your cookies bake evenly and come out perfectly gooey.
  • Cream the Butters and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add Vanilla and Eggs: Mix in the vanilla extract and add the eggs one at a time. Ensure each is well incorporated before adding the next one.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Mix Together: Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until fully combined.
  • Fold in Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips gently to ensure they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Bake: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  • Cool Down: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
