  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, butter, and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add in the egg and vanilla, and mix to combine.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
