Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, butter, and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add in the egg and vanilla, and mix to combine.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream, milk, or coffee for a delightful treat. Keep cream cheese and butter at room temperature for easier mixing. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
