Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and thick.
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Using a cookie scoop or two tablespoons, drop dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving at least 2 inches of space between cookies.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, allow cooling time for proper texture. Consider using funfetti cake mix for added color. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
