Cookie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Make sure they are at room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and crushed pretzels until evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto your prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are slightly soft.
  3. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
