Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth, then add in the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
- Slowly add in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined. Do not over-mix.
- Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
Baking
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling and Serving
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- Transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for about 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds.
