Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted Ensure butter is not too hot when mixing with eggs.
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Stir until smooth, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finish with vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
Baking
  1. Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. You want the top to be set but still slightly gooey in the middle.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
  2. Enjoy with a scoop of ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. For longer storage, freeze portions tightly wrapped in plastic wrap.
