Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (flank or sirloin), thinly sliced
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Optional Toppings

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine sliced beef, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. While the beef is marinating, slice your onions, and mince the garlic and ginger.
Cooking
  1. In a large wok or skillet, heat vegetable oil over high heat until it's shimmering.
  2. Add the marinated beef to the hot pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until it's browned and cooked through.
  3. Toss in the sliced onions, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for another 3-5 minutes until the onions become tender and translucent.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish. Add optional toppings if desired and enjoy hot!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of water to revive moisture.
