Preparation
- Start by warming up your Halal-friendly chili in a saucepan over medium heat until hot and bubbly.
- In a separate pan or microwave, warm your large burrito tortilla to make it easier to wrap.
- Spread the warm chili in the center of the tortilla and add shredded cheese on top while the chili is hot to allow the cheese to melt.
- Sprinkle the diced onions over the cheese, drizzle with hot sauce, and add a dollop of sour cream.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll from the bottom up to securely encase the fillings.
- For a crispy burrito, toast it briefly in a pan until golden brown on both sides.
Notes
To keep fresh, refrigerate within two hours. Lasts 3-4 days in the fridge, or freeze wrapped tightly for longer storage. Reheat in microwave for 2-3 minutes or oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes for best texture.
