- If you haven't cooked your chicken yet, boil, bake, or grill it until fully cooked. Allow it to cool before shredding.
- Dice the apples and chop the celery and walnuts. Ensure the apple pieces are small enough to blend well with the chicken but large enough to provide a pleasant crunch.
- In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir well to create a smooth dressing.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, diced apples, chopped celery, and walnuts. Pour the dressing over the top and gently mix until everything is coated.
- Place clean lettuce leaves on a serving plate and scoop the chicken salad onto the leaves. Optionally, use a bowl for presentation.
