Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the potatoes into thin rounds and spread them in a large baking dish.
  3. Layer the chicken on top of the potatoes, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
Mixing the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chopped onion.
  2. Drizzle in the olive oil while mixing for added richness.
Baking
  1. Pour the mixture over the chicken and potatoes, ensuring everything is well-coated.
  2. Cover the dish with foil and bake it in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
  3. Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and return the dish to the oven for another 15 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked, and the potatoes are tender.
  4. Once done, let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
