  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup broccoli florets (optional) Can be omitted if not desired.
  • 1 cup cooked rice or pasta
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs For topping.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter For greasing the casserole dish.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, broccoli, cooked rice or pasta, and chopped onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Grease a casserole dish with olive oil or butter to prevent sticking.
  4. Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle breadcrumbs generously on top for an extra crunchy layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling and the top is golden brown.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) or in the microwave until heated through.
