Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cooked broccoli, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
Assembly
- In a casserole dish, layer half of the chicken mixture on the bottom. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese evenly over this layer.
- Add the remaining chicken mixture and top with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.
- In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil or melted butter. Spread this mixture evenly over the cheese layer to create a crispy topping.
Baking
- Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbling.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. This casserole is best enjoyed while still warm!

Ingredient substitutions: You can swap cooked chicken for turkey or even a vegetarian protein for a Halal-friendly version. Spinach can be used in place of broccoli for a different flavor profile. Avoid overcooking by checking the casserole around 25 minutes. Don’t skimp on seasoning for enhanced flavor.
