- Slice the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into thin strips.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Once hot, add the chicken strips and season them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for about 5–7 minutes until fully cooked and golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- Toss in the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender, stirring frequently.
- Top the skillet with provolone cheese. Cover and let it cook for 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Serve on its own or load it into toasted bread for a fulfilling sandwich.
Notes
For substitutions, ground beef or turkey can be used in place of chicken, and different cheeses like mozzarella or Swiss can be experimented with. Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet for best results.
