Preparation
- In a medium bowl, mix the shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, and a pinch of Italian seasoning. Stir until thoroughly combined, then set aside.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into circles about ¼ inch thick. You should be able to get about 4-6 circles.
Assembling
- Place a generous amount of the chicken Alfredo filling on one half of each dough circle. Leave some space around the edges.
- Fold the dough over and pinch the edges to seal. Use a fork to create a decorative edge if desired.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Brush the tops of the calzones with olive oil and place them in the preheated air fryer basket.
- Cook for approximately 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
- Once cooked, remove the calzones from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Pair with side salad or marinara sauce.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in air fryer for best results.
