Ingredients

Dough Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup mini M&M's
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth and well combined.
  3. Stir in the eggs, one at a time, and then add the vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
  4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold everything together until a soft dough forms.
  5. Stir in the mini M&M's and chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
