Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If using fresh cherries, wash and pit them. If using frozen, thaw and drain excess liquid.
- Grease a baking dish with butter and spread the cherries evenly across the bottom.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until well combined. Gradually add in the flour, whisking until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the cherries in the dish.
Baking
- Bake in your preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is puffed and lightly browned.
- Once done, let it cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar for a beautiful finish.
Notes
Cherry Clafoutis can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days. Enjoy it warm, chilled, or with ice cream.
