Ingredients

For the Filling
  • 1 lb halal sausage (beef or chicken)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure an even bake.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add the halal sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, diced green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Open the can of refrigerated biscuits and separate them. You’ll be working with one biscuit at a time.
  5. Flatten each biscuit in your palm, then place a spoonful of the sausage and cheese mixture in the center. Pinch the edges to seal it tightly, making sure no filling escapes during baking.
  6. Place the filled biscuits seam-side down on a greased baking sheet, ensuring they’re spaced apart.
Baking
  1. Place the pan in your preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the biscuit tops are golden brown.
  2. Once out of the oven, let the bombs cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm!

Notes

Feel free to use plant-based halal sausages if you prefer a vegetarian alternative! Make sure to drain excess fat from the sausage to prevent soggy biscuits. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
