Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure an even bake.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the halal sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, diced green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Open the can of refrigerated biscuits and separate them. You’ll be working with one biscuit at a time.
- Flatten each biscuit in your palm, then place a spoonful of the sausage and cheese mixture in the center. Pinch the edges to seal it tightly, making sure no filling escapes during baking.
- Place the filled biscuits seam-side down on a greased baking sheet, ensuring they’re spaced apart.
Baking
- Place the pan in your preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the biscuit tops are golden brown.
- Once out of the oven, let the bombs cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm!
Notes
Feel free to use plant-based halal sausages if you prefer a vegetarian alternative! Make sure to drain excess fat from the sausage to prevent soggy biscuits. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
