Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat your frying oil in a pan.
- In a bowl, combine shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Form small balls from the cheese mixture, aiming for about 12-15 bites.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with a beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs. Roll each cheese ball in flour, dip in egg, and coat in breadcrumbs.
Cooking
- Fry the coated bites in hot oil for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, or bake on a greased sheet for 12-15 minutes until crispy and golden.
- Let the bites drain on a paper towel if fried.
- Serve hot with marinara sauce or your choice of dipping sauce.
Notes
Use Panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch; do not overcrowd the oil while frying. Keep warm in the oven if preparing in large batches.
