Ingredients
  

Cheese Mixture
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Use high-quality mozzarella for best results.
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Coating Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg Beaten for coating.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Panko) For extra crunch.
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste Salt
  • Pepper to taste Pepper
Frying
  • Cooking spray or oil Cooking spray or oil for frying Use enough for frying.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat your frying oil in a pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form small balls from the cheese mixture, aiming for about 12-15 bites.
  4. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with a beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs. Roll each cheese ball in flour, dip in egg, and coat in breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Fry the coated bites in hot oil for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, or bake on a greased sheet for 12-15 minutes until crispy and golden.
  2. Let the bites drain on a paper towel if fried.
  3. Serve hot with marinara sauce or your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

Use Panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch; do not overcrowd the oil while frying. Keep warm in the oven if preparing in large batches.
