Ingredients

For the filling
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken Make sure it's fully cooked
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Let it come to room temperature for easier mixing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with other cheeses if desired
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapeños Optional for added spice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
For the buns
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough Follow package instructions for preparation
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted For brushing on top of buns
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Optional for added flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños (if using), garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until fully incorporated.
  3. Open the package of biscuit dough and separate the individual biscuits. Flatten each biscuit slightly, then place a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center.
  4. Carefully fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal, making sure no filling escapes.
  5. Place the sealed buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the melted butter on top of each bun and sprinkle with paprika.
Cooking
  1. Bake the buns in your preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  2. Allow the buns to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using different cheeses or vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days, or freeze them for longer storage.
