Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the sweet corn until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the corn mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Melt the butter and drizzle it over the cheese layer.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
