  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) Adjust based on preference.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of oil. Once hot, add the diced onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until they soften, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the ground beef and taco seasoning, cooking until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat and set aside.
Assembly & Cooking
  1. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil. Place a tortilla in the skillet, and sprinkle half of it with cheese.
  2. Add a generous portion of the beef mixture on top, then sprinkle more cheese on top before folding the tortilla over to create a half-moon shape.
  3. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese has melted. Repeat this process until all tortillas are filled and cooked.
  4. Cut each quesadilla into wedges and serve hot with your choice of toppings like salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.

Notes

For perfect quesadillas, avoid over-stuffing, ensure your skillet is hot, and consider various proteins or vegetables.
