  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) Choose your preferred cheese for flavor.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
  • 1/4 cup salsa Use your favorite salsa.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving
  • Tortilla chips For dipping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Drain and rinse the black beans to remove excess sodium.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine black beans, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined, leaving some beans intact for texture.
Cooking
  1. Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish or skillet and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes, until bubbling and golden.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with tortilla chips and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to a month. Reheat gently in the oven or microwave.
