Ingredients
  

For the filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg yolk
For the rolls and drizzle
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for drizzling)
  • 1 tbsp milk (for drizzling)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth and creamy.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles.
  4. Place about a tablespoon of the cheesecake filling at the wide end of each crescent triangle and roll them up.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the rolled crescent dough on it.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 12-15 minutes or until golden.
  2. While the rolls are baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth to create a drizzle.
  3. Once the rolls are done, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before drizzling the icing on top.

Notes

For substitutions, consider using lower-fat cream cheese or a sugar substitute. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
