Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt to taste, stirring occasionally until it is thoroughly cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef with mustard, ketchup, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well until the cheese is evenly distributed.
- Unroll the refrigerated pretzel dough and cut it into squares (about 3 inches each).
- Place a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture in the center of each dough square.
- Fold the corners of the dough over the filling, pinching them together to create sealed balls.
- Place the filled pretzel bombs on a greased baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Baking
- Bake the pretzel bombs in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up.
- Remove from the oven, let them cool slightly, and enjoy these delicious cheese-stuffed delights warm.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can freeze them before baking, or after they've cooled. When ready to eat, reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
