Ingredients
  

  • - 1 lb ground beef
  • - 1 small onion diced

  • - 1 cup beef broth
  • - 1 cup heavy cream
  • - 1/4 cup ketchup
  • - 1 tbsp mustard yellow or Dijon
  • - 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • - 1 tsp salt
  • - 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • - 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • - Optional toppings: diced pickles chopped parsley, or crispy bacon bits

  • **1. Cook the Beef:**
  • - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Drain any excess grease.
  • **2. Sauté Aromatics:**
  • - Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until softened and fragrant.
  • **3. Add Gnocchi and Liquids:**
  • - Stir in the gnocchi, beef broth, heavy cream, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  • **4. Simmer:**
  • - Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cover the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the gnocchi is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  • **5. Add Cheese:**
  • - Reduce the heat to low. Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
