Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and salt.
- Gradually add warm water until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 15-20 minutes until it doubles in size.
- Once risen, punch the dough down and divide it into equal-sized balls.
- Roll each ball out into a flat circle, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Place a handful of shredded cheese in the center of each circle, leaving space around the edges.
- Fold the edges over the cheese to create a pouch, ensuring the filling is completely enclosed.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add a little olive oil if desired.
- Cook each flatbread for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serving
- Remove from the skillet and enjoy your Cheese Stuffed Flatbread warm!
Notes
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them in a skillet over low heat until warmed through. Can freeze for up to 2 months, thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
