Preparation
- Start by slicing a head of cabbage into wedges, about 1-inch thick.
- Drizzle the wedges lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Massage the seasonings into the cabbage.
Cooking
- Preheat your grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the cabbage wedges cut-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until nicely charred.
- Carefully flip the wedges and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the outer leaves are blistered and tender.
Finishing Touches
- Drizzle with optional balsamic vinegar or lemon juice and serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftover Charred Cabbage in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for about 2 months. Reheat in a skillet over low heat with a touch of olive oil.
