Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and mashed bananas. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, vanilla extract, and brewed espresso until well blended.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir. Gently fold in the flour until just combined—be careful not to overmix!
- Drizzle the caramel sauce into the batter, giving it a light swirl for that delightful caramel flavor throughout.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce once cooled, if desired.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or alongside a cup of coffee for a perfect pairing. Store wrapped at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
