  1. Bake the brownies according to package directions or your favorite recipe, and let them cool completely. Once cooled, cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully blended. Gently fold in the whipped cream to create a light and airy cheesecake filling.
Assembly
  1. In a clear glass bowl or trifle dish, add a layer of brownie pieces to the bottom.
  2. Follow with a generous layer of the cheesecake mixture.
  3. Drizzle caramel sauce generously over the cheesecake layer.
  4. Repeat this layering process until the dish is full, typically 3-4 layers.
Garnishing
  1. Top the final layer with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel, and a sprinkle of chocolate shavings if desired.
  2. Chill for about 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.

Notes

This dessert is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Cover the dish with plastic wrap to keep it fresh. Reheating isn’t necessary, but gently microwave each portion for about 10 seconds if you want the dessert slightly warm.
