Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups apple slices (preferably tart apples like Granny Smith)
  • 1 cup mini pretzel bites
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (make sure to choose a Halal-certified brand)
  • Sea salt for sprinkling to balance the sweetness
  • Chocolate drizzle (optional for added sweetness) for additional flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and slicing the apples into thin wedges. Set them aside.
  2. If you prefer a warm and gooey version, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Assembly
  1. In a large bowl, combine the mini pretzel bites with the caramel sauce. Make sure every pretzel is generously coated.
  2. In a baking dish, arrange the caramel-coated pretzels. Add the apple slices on top of the pretzels, pressing them in gently.
  3. Add a generous sprinkle of sea salt over the top.
  4. If you want to take your bites to the next level, melt some chocolate and drizzle it over the top.
Baking
  1. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, until heated through and the caramel is melty.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving warm or enjoy them at room temperature too.

Notes

Store in an airtight container. Best enjoyed fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 2-3 days. For longer storage, consider freezing them for up to a month.
