Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup diced apples (choose your favorite variety) You can use tart or sweet apple varieties.
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade) Homemade caramel adds a personal touch.
  • 1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or freshly whipped) Freshly whipped cream is recommended for best results.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) Use nuts for extra crunch.
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt (optional) Adds a creamy tang.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash and dice your apples into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, gently combine the diced apples with the caramel sauce until coated.
  3. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the apple-caramel mixture and stir to incorporate.
  4. Layer the components in individual serving cups, starting with the apple-caramel mixture, followed by whipped cream. Repeat layers until cups are filled.
  5. Add more whipped cream on top and sprinkle with chopped nuts or a dollop of vanilla yogurt if desired.
  6. Serve immediately or chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Consider substituting diced apples with pears or bananas for different flavors. To prevent apples from browning, toss them in lemon juice before mixing with caramel. For the perfect whipped cream layer, use heavy cream and beat until stiff peaks form. Store leftovers in the fridge for 2-3 days.
