Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 medium medium-sized apples (any sweet variety like Fuji or Gala) Choose firm and crunchy apples for the best texture.
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade) Can use store-bought or homemade.
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional) Melt for drizzling over the bites.
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (optional) Any type of nuts can be used.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash all apples thoroughly and remove any stickers.
  2. Pat them dry and cut them into quarters or sixths, depending on your preferred size.
Melting Caramel
  1. If you're using pre-packaged caramel sauce, place it in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  2. If you're making homemade caramel, follow a basic recipe that combines sugar, butter, and cream.
Dipping Apples
  1. Once the caramel is melted and smooth, dip each apple piece into the caramel, ensuring it's well-coated.
  2. Allow the excess caramel to drip off before placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Adding Toppings
  1. If you’re using chocolate or nuts, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave and drizzle over the coated apple bites.
  2. Then, sprinkle with the chopped nuts for that extra crunch.
Setting
  1. Place the baking sheet in the fridge for about 30 minutes, allowing the caramel to set before serving.
Serving
  1. Once set, serve these delicious bites at family gatherings or as a delightful snack!
