Cooking

- Stir in 1 cup of rice, coating it in the oil and spices.
- Pour in 2 cups of chicken broth and sprinkle Cajun seasoning over the mixture.
- Bring to a light boil, then reduce heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for about 20 minutes until rice is cooked.
- Adjust salt and pepper as needed before serving; fluff rice with a fork and garnish with fresh herbs or green onions.
Notes
For a lighter option, turkey sausage can be used. Ensure to watch the rice while it simmers to prevent burning.
