Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 medium head green cabbage, chopped
  • 2 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 pound halal beef sausage, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • for garnish fresh parsley

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pot or skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Toss in the sliced halal beef sausage and cook for another 5 minutes until browned.
  5. Add chopped cabbage and diced potatoes to the pot. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and paprika if using. Stir to ensure the seasoning is evenly dispersed.
  7. Cover the pot and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
  8. Once done, remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

You can substitute beef sausage with turkey or chicken halal sausage for a lighter option. Make sure potatoes are cut into uniform sizes for even cooking. Avoid overcrowding the pot for better caramelization.
