Preparation
- In a large pot or skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, being careful not to burn it.
- Toss in the sliced halal beef sausage and cook for another 5 minutes until browned.
- Add chopped cabbage and diced potatoes to the pot. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and paprika if using. Stir to ensure the seasoning is evenly dispersed.
- Cover the pot and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
- Once done, remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
You can substitute beef sausage with turkey or chicken halal sausage for a lighter option. Make sure potatoes are cut into uniform sizes for even cooking. Avoid overcrowding the pot for better caramelization.
