Ingredients

  • 1 can 8-count refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
  • 8 slices deli roast beef
  • 8 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 cups beef broth for au jus
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder for au jus
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Prepare the biscuits: Flatten each biscuit slightly. It helps to create a nice pocket for your delicious filling.
  • Add the filling: Place one slice of roast beef and one slice of cheese in the center of each biscuit. Then, fold and seal the edges to form a biscuit pocket.
  • Arrange: Place the sealed biscuits seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Brush this delicious mixture generously over the tops of each biscuit.
  • Bake: Pop them in the oven and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Prepare the au jus: While the biscuits are baking, in a saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Simmer over medium heat for 10–15 minutes until flavorful.
  • Serve: Once the biscuits are golden and fluffy, remove them from the oven. Serve warm with hot au jus on the side for dipping!
