Ingredients

For the Brownies
  • 1 box brownie mix Use your favorite brand.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
For the Ice Cream Layer
  • 1 quart favorite ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, or any flavor of your choice)
Toppings (optional)
  • to taste whipped cream
  • to taste chocolate syrup
  • to taste crushed nuts

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) for perfect brownies.
  2. Prepare the Brownie Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the boxed brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well-blended.
  3. Bake the Brownies: Pour the brownie batter into a greased round cake pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely in the pan.
Assembly
  1. Add Ice Cream Layer: Once the brownies are fully cooled, remove them from the pan and place them back in the pan. Allow them to slightly set at room temperature while you prepare your ice cream.
  2. Spread Ice Cream: Using a spatula, spread the ice cream evenly over the layer of brownies.
  3. Chill and Set: Cover the cake with plastic wrap and freeze it for at least 2 hours to allow the ice cream to firm up.
Serving
  1. When ready, remove from the freezer, slice, and serve, garnishing with your choice of toppings.

Notes

For best results, store any leftover cake tightly wrapped in plastic wrap in the freezer. It can stay fresh for up to a month. Slice only what you need.
