Ingredients

For the Brownie Cake
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Sifted
  • 1 cup cocoa powder Unsweetened, sifted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a rectangular baking pan (about 9x13 inches) with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter.
Mixing
  1. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  3. Incorporate the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Slowly add to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25–30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Let the brownie cake cool in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, slice into squares and serve.

Notes

For dairy-free, substitute with coconut oil or dairy-free butter. Check the cake earlier than the suggested baking time for ultra-fudginess. Avoid overmixing to keep the chewy texture.
