For the Crust and Topping

  • 1 1/2 cups pecans, toasted Half for the filling and half for topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and develops a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sugar until creamy using an electric mixer.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, scraping the sides of the bowl after each addition.
  5. Mix in the cooled browned butter, sour cream, vanilla extract, flour, and salt until smooth. Stir in half of the toasted pecans.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture into the pre-made graham cracker crust.
Baking
  1. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  2. Allow the cheesecake to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best taste.
Serving
