Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 shots shots of espresso or 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee
  • 1-2 tablespoons brown sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cup oat milk can be sweetened or unsweetened
  • Ice cubes
Optional Toppings
  • a sprinkle of cinnamon optional garnish
  • whipped cream optional garnish
  • caramel drizzle optional garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Brew the Coffee: Start by brewing two shots of espresso. If you’re using regular coffee, brew ½ cup of strong coffee instead.
  2. Mix the Sweetness: In a cocktail shaker (or a jar with a tight-fitting lid), combine the freshly brewed espresso and brown sugar. Shake it until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Add Ice: Fill the shaker with ice cubes, and pour the oat milk over the top.
  4. Shake it Up: Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds until your drink is frothy and well mixed.
  5. Pour and Serve: Strain the mixture into a glass filled with more ice.
  6. Garnish: Optionally, add a sprinkle of cinnamon or a drizzle of caramel on top for extra delightful flavor!

Notes

This drink is best enjoyed fresh, but leftover espresso or oat milk can be stored in the fridge for up to three days. Reheating won't give you the same frothy texture as fresh, so it's best to make the drink from scratch when the craving strikes.
