Method
Preparing the Dough
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Add melted butter, salt, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour, a cup at a time, mixing well until combined and the dough begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Knead it for about 6–8 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
Rising and Shaping
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it into equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Cover the rolls lightly again and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove rolls from the oven, allow them to cool slightly, and enjoy fresh!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3–5 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in a preheated oven.
