Ingredients

For the Tea
  • 2 cups water For brewing tea
  • 2 bags black tea bags Or tea of your choice
For the Lemonade
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries Use fresh blueberries for best flavor
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice Ensure it's freshly squeezed
  • 1-2 cups simple syrup Adjust to taste
  • Ice For serving
  • Mint leaves Optional, for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by boiling the water in a small pot. Once boiling, remove from heat and steep the tea bags for about 5 minutes. Let it cool completely afterward.
  2. In a blender, blend the fresh blueberries until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to extract the juice, discarding any pulp.
Mixing
  1. In a large pitcher, combine the strained blueberry juice, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and brewed tea. Add the simple syrup, adjusting to taste.
Serving
  1. Fill your glasses with ice and pour the Blueberry Tea Lemonade over the top. If desired, garnish with fresh mint leaves or a few whole blueberries!
  2. This drink can be enjoyed right away, but it’s even tastier if allowed to chill in the refrigerator for a while.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different types of tea for various flavor profiles. Adjust the sweetness to your liking. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
